Un fine settimana splendido, dopo il temporale che ci aveva investiti a Ravenna, lo abbiamo trascorso sollazzandoci nella piscina del ristorante/pizzeria “I Tre Colli”di Francesca e Fabrizio, in località Ponte Sfondato (comune di Montopoli). Chiediamo un po’ di informazioni alla simpatica Cagliaritana Marina che ci indica il vasto menù che può offrire il ristorantino di pesce, carne, cucina
locale e persino…sarda!
A wonderfull weekend, after the storm that we had in Ravenna, the one we spent enjoying the swimming pool in the pizzeria-restaurant “I Tre Colli” of Francesca and Fabrizio, in the location Ponte Sfondato (municipality of Montopoli). We ask some information to the pleasing Marina from Cagliari, who tells us about the wide variety of culinary delicacies she can prepare for us: form fish to meat dishes, local specialities and even Sardinian meals!

Questo posto offre una vista rilassante e piacevole posizionato in mezzo ad una collinetta con ulivi, la piscina in basso con servizio spogliatoi, doccia calda e bagni.
Ideale per noi, a pochi chilometri dalla nostra mèta Roccantica, dove ormai risiede da un po’ di tempo nostro nipote Davide e dove veniamo a scoprire gli anfratti di questa bella Italia nascosta ai più. Ma mentre giriamo e conosciamo questi luoghi ci rendiamo sempre più conto di essere “noi” ad ignorare le bellezze di questa parte dell’Alto Lazio, scoprendo via via che visitiamo Paesi e Frazioni che sono gli Inglesi, gli Americani, i Francesi… a comprare case da queste parti!

This place offers a pleasant and relaxing view, placed in the midst of an olive hill, the pool further down with dressing room service, hot shower and toilettes.
Ideal for us, just a few chilometers from our final destination Roccantica where lives our nephew Davide from quite a bit now and where we come often to discover these places in our beautiful country hidden to most. But while we walk by and visit these towns we learn more and more that “we” ignored their existence, ‘cause in this wonderful part of “High Lazio” there are lots of British, Americans, French people buying houses and coming to spend their holidays!
Il nostro pomeriggio trascorre fino a sera a prendere il sole e nuotare, a fare uno spuntino sotto un ulivo e una piacevole brezza fino a sera quando ci incamminiamo verso casa.
Tappa obbligatoria a Poggio Mirteto, dove ha una norcineria specializzata in lavorazione, carne di suino fresco, cotto e stagionato il nostro amico Sergione “The King of the Pig”. Tra le sue specialità adoriamo il “tenerello” da spalmare a crudo sulla bruschetta e la porchetta (!) oltre ai salami con funghi porcini, tartufi, castagne, finocchio e peperoncino…
Ma tutta la sua carne è “speciale” e di ottima qualità. Ho fatto dei barbecue speciali con la sua carne!
Straordinario anche il “murales” (che vi propongo nella foto) che trovate nel suo negozio e le statuette dei maialini in porcellana!
Our afternoon passes by swimming and taking sun until evening, having a quick meal under an olive tree and enjoying a cool breeze while going home.
Mandatory leg in our journey is Poggio Mirteto where our friend Sergione (big Sergio) “the King of the Pig” has his Butchery specialized in processing swine meat: fresh, cooked and seasoned pork. Amongst his specialties we love tender pork meat called “tenerello” properly spread onto a crunchy loaf of bread…and the famous cooked pork that we call “porchetta” (!) besides salami with porcini mushrooms, with “tartufi” (tubers), chesnuts, fennel or red peppers…
But all his meat is special and of the finest quality. I made some great barbecues with his meat!
Exceptional the mural painting he shows in his shop (see photos I propose) and all the pig statuettes in porcelain!

Salutato Sergione procediamo per preparare il “cocktail” per festeggiare il compleanno di Davide a Roccantica. Ottima scusa per smaltire i chili di più è una bella arrampicata in Paese, dove ho fatto queste foto.
La vista della valle al tramonto è veramente così bella che anche un fotografo provetto come me ha realizzato dei capolavori!
Once greeted “Big” Sergio, we procede to prepare Davide’s coktail birthday party for the evening in Roccantica Roccantica . Excellent excuse to lower down some extra kilos is a good clamber in town, where I took these PHOTOS .
The sunset sightseeing of the valley is so gorgeous that even a scarce photographer like me has realized these masterpieces!
All’indomani ci invita a un cocktail party Philip, che conosciamo la sera prima. Venuto sin qui dal Galles, Philip ci permette gentilmente di fotografare la sua casa piena di affreschi antichi. Noi gli chiediamo sorridendo dove sia il “fantasma” e se pensa d’importarlo dal Galles… in quanto chiamiamo la sua casa “il Castello”.
Sunday morning, at about eleven we are invited by Philip, whom we met on Davide’s party yesterday. Coming from Wales, Philip is so gentle to let us make pictures of his house, full of beautiful antique “frescos”. We ask him smiling where has he placed his “Ghost” or if he is plots to import him from Wales… since his house looks like a Castle.
